I was born and raised in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. My first camera was a 35mm Canon that belonged to my dad (that I conveniently lost at Six Flags) and from there the passion grew into a Kodak EasyShare. Don’t worry, I’ve upgraded since then! ;)

I spent 11 lovely years shooting the weddings of couples in love. It taught me important things. I am grateful for those years, those people, and the satisfaction that the work brought to me by how it expanded my life into other people’s stories.

However, after a hiatus, I decided to take a risk and pivot my career to focus on family photography. It’s the fleeting moments of childhood, the milestones of parenthood, and the bonds that hold families together that I love.

My personal work fuels me more than anything… meditating on my own family, this massive gift, through my camera lens; capturing our ordinary moments and our passing days.

Annie Leibovitz. Vivian Maier. Old oil paintings. Trip and Charlee’s drawings. My mom’s watercolor. My home and my people. Old books about God. The new sunrise every day. These things (and more) are what inspire me.

“The characteristic common to God and man is apparently that: the desire and the ability to make things.” -Dorothy Sayers
